My name is Matt Basi.


I founded Izzia Consulting in December 2020 to help financial services firms expand their revenues through improved sales, service and products, and to provide objective commercial insight that supports them to better monetise their third party relationships.


Since then we've worked with derivatives brokerages, residential and commercial property investors, private equity and research firms, and early stage technology start ups. The common theme across every project we're involved in is the pursuit of hidden value - leaning on my commercial experience to identify additional opportunities for our clients.


The teams we work with are skilled and successful - we are not a turnaround specialists. We're an additional pair of eyes and ears who are able to give objective, unbiased advice and identify opportunities that are not always obvious from the inside. We provide a clear, concise view on where the hidden profit in a business lies and help our clients to unlock it.


Sometimes we'll be given a more specific mandate - hiring/vetting a new team, commercial due diligence on a deal or project, identifying training requirements for client facing staff, reviewing commercial arrangements with clients or third parties - whatever the challenge, we're there to consult and to add value - not to tell our clients how to run their businesses.


Prior to founding ICL, I spent 17 years in financial markets servicing retail, professional and institutional clients across Europe and the Middle East, building and managing successful teams in Sales, Trading and Customer Service. I have deep experience of establishing and maintaining valuable relationships both in and outside of an organisation, and monetising them for the long term. It's this experience, coupled with a relentless enthusiasm for generating incremental revenue, that we bring to every client we work with.

The first is when a client approaches us with a specific problem.


We ask questions and dig deep into the issue to examine potential solutions that allow the client to move forward on a more profitable footing.


The problems faced by customer-centric businesses are many and varied - from ensuring client facing staff are skilled and empowered to build lasting, profitable relationship with clients, to analysing elasticity of demand across multiple products and thousands of users to find the optimum pricing solution and maximise client satisfaction and company revenue.


Izzia Consulting possesses the experience to address a diverse range of challenges and recommend revenue generative changes to drive the client's business in the short, medium and long term.

Diagnostics


The second service we offer is diagnostic.


We will go into a business and work with the leadership team to find the hidden potential getting lost in the day to day running of the business.


Even in the most successful companies, it can be difficult for the management team to identify every opportunity and implement the changes to extract the incremental hidden value each one represents.


Izzia Consulting works with our clients to explore all revenue channels and understand the operational challenges that any changes could trigger. Once we have a clear picture, we present an evidence-backed proposal to build on existing revenues, and a clear plan for implementation.


When we talk to business leaders about what they fear most when hiring a consultant, the themes are consistent. Expensive, badly thought out advice that looks to bolster short term profits in order to justify consulting fees, with no eye on operational impact or longevity.


That's not what Izzia Consulting does. We're here to consult, understand, devise, advise and implement - working hand in hand with our clients every step of the way. Our reputation is our marketing, and our fees are structured to incentivise results.
